The Australian cricket team has recently participated in a number of international events, including the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and a home series against New Zealand.

In the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, which was held in the United Arab Emirates and Oman in October and November 2021, Australia made it to the semi-finals of the tournament. They won four out of their five matches in the group stage, beating South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the West Indies, and losing only to England. In the semi-finals, they faced the West Indies but lost by five wickets, ending their campaign in the tournament.

After the T20 World Cup, the Australian cricket team returned home to play a series against New Zealand. The series consisted of five T20Is and three ODIs. The T20I series was played in late February and early March 2023, and Australia won the series 3-2. The ODI series is scheduled to take place in early March 2023.

During the T20I series against New Zealand, some notable performances from the Australian team included opener David Warner's half-century in the first match, bowler Josh Hazlewood's four-wicket haul in the third match, and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis' match-winning innings in the fourth match.

Overall, the Australian cricket team has been actively participating in international events and series and continues to be a competitive force in the world of cricket.
